Team F.A.D.E. has a collective 12 years of experience in the entertainment industry. In addition to our own shows, we have done collaborative works with many local performance groups, notably the Shaolin Kung Fu and Fitness Center (Amherst based Kung Fu school), Tiamet (Belly dance company), Grand Balancing Act (Smith college MFA Thesis), and Circus Folk Unite (Hampshire college circus). We have several years of classical training in modern and middle eastern dance, martial arts, and circus performance.
Before F.A.D.E. was F.A.D.E, it was Phoenix Fire Arts, the brainchild of Philip Myers, Ras Smallidge and Andy Bryant. It began as strictly a fire performance troupe in late 2005, already featuring quite a decent variety of fire props. A year later Joe Lapaire was added into the mix, and they started adding acrobatics into their shows and the name changed to F.A.D.E. (Fire, Acrobatics, and Dance Entertainment) to incorporate their new skillsets.
In addition to experience with private and public events, Team FADE has also done contract work with Six Flags New England.
Each time F.A.D.E. does a show, it is custom tailored to the venue using these varied skills.
